International soccer player Cristiano Ronaldo issued an official statement, commenting on his team's loss to Morocco in the quarter-finals of the 2022 World Cup, which will be hosted by the Qatari city of Doha.

The Moroccan national team reserved its seat among the adults in the semi-finals of the World Cup, for the first time in its history, after its precious victory over Portugal with a clean goal, in the match that brought them together at “Al-Thumama” stadium, within the 2022 World Cup quarter-finals, which is currently being held in Qatar, and will continue until December 18.

Ronaldo's statement came as follows: "Winning the World Cup for Portugal was the biggest and most ambitious dream of my career. Fortunately, I won many titles of international dimension, including Portugal, but putting the name of our country on the highest foot in the world was my biggest dream."

I fought for it, I fought so hard for this dream. In the five matches I've scored in World Cups over the course of 16 years, I've always been with great players and with the support of millions of Portuguese, I've done my best. Leave everything in the field. I never turned my face to fight and I never gave up on that dream.

Unfortunately, yesterday's dream ended. I want you all to know that much has been said, much written, and much speculated, but my dedication to Portugal has never changed. I have always been a fighter for everyone's goal and will never turn my back on my team mates and my country.

There is not much to say now. Thank you, Portugal. Thank you, Qatar. The dream was beautiful and carried on.. Now, hopefully, the weather will be good and allow everyone to draw their own conclusions.

It is worth noting that Cristiano Ronaldo will reach the age of 41 in the next World Cup, which will be held in 2026.

The Moroccan national team achieved an Arab and African achievement, after becoming the first team to qualify for the semi-finals of the World Cup, after defeating the Portuguese national team.

The Moroccan national team continued to write history, after qualifying for the semi-finals, in an unprecedented achievement for Arab and African football.

Youssef Al-Nusairi scored Morocco's goal in the 42nd minute of the match, with a header the moment the Portuguese goalkeeper left his goal.

The French national team also succeeded in qualifying to meet Morocco in the semi-finals of the World Cup Qatar 2022, after the French roosters eliminated their rival, the England national team, this evening, Saturday, with two goals to one.

The Moroccan national team is scheduled to meet its French counterpart in the semi-finals of the 2022 World Cup, with the confrontation scheduled for next Wednesday, at exactly nine o’clock in the evening, Cairo time, at Al-Bayt Stadium.
