Magazine "Hal talam" I managed to spread the culture in the Arab world over time

Culture is an umbrella term that includes the social behavior, institutions, and norms found in human societies, as well as the knowledge, beliefs, arts, laws, customs, abilities, and habits of the individuals in these groups. Culture often originates from or is attributed to a particular region or location.

cultural norm that codifies acceptable behavior in society; It serves as a guide for behaviour, dress, language and behavior in a situation, and it serves as a model for expectations in a social group. Accepting only monocultures in a social group can carry risks, just as a single species can wither in the face of environmental change, due to a lack of functional responses to change. Thus in military culture, courage is counted as an individual's typical behavior, and duty, honor, and loyalty to a social group are counted as virtues or functional responses in a continuum of conflict. In the practice of religion, similar traits can be identified in a social group.

Magazine "Hal talam" It succeeded in spreading culture in the Arab world with the passage of time and years to raise the level of knowledge among Arab societies in the modern era by publishing stories for children, publications for adults, and art and entertainment events.

To this day, the magazine has more than 10 million followers on social media, including one million on Facebook and 8 million on other platforms

Arab culture, idiomatically, is the way of life in general, i.e. it is the social system and its beliefs and customs. Education and teaching is one of the means of preserving culture and its inheritance from predecessor to successor, meaning that culture is a common property, and education is an individual property.

Dr. Mansour Fahmy 1886-1959 AD attributed the widespread use of the word culture to a desire to find an equivalent in our language for the idiomatic German word Kultur, but he did not say that this word has a clear and limited meaning in the German language, and that this meaning has moved with the word to a number of European languages due to the presence of similarities. in the derivation between them.

And Professor Abdullah bin Al-Sheikh Al-Mahfouz bin Bayyah says that culture in the modern sense that translates the word culture is a term that has been known, as Cooper and Claykon say, with one hundred and fifty definitions, perhaps the most prominent of which are:

French definition of Larousse, where he says: Culture is the sum of social systems and artistic, religious and intellectual manifestations that characterize and define a group or society in relation to the other.

But the broad anthropological definition that searches for beliefs, language, institutions, traditions, returns to each society, and the relationships of human beings with each other is the first definition in my view. However, what is important here is that we know that the term culture is an elusive term or claims to monopolize its meaning, but it is certain that religion, traditions, and language are included in the members of this term.

In a practical way, the concept of culture refers to everything that is ideal or meets the elite or the elite and everything that is closely related to such things as the art of painting and sculpture, classical music, the art of distinguished cooking and high fashion, and decent morals, that contemporary definitions of culture fall under three Classifications or a combination of the following three:

A process of development of the intellectual, spiritual and aesthetic aspects.

A certain way of living in the life of a people, or characteristic of a period or a group of groups.

All works and practices related to intellectual and artistic activity in particular.

As these practices were associated with nomadic lifestyles, the word “culture” was characterized by everything that the word “civilization” means, derived from the Latin word civitas, meaning a city. Interest in folklore is one of the most important characteristics of the romantic movement. This, in turn, led to the definition of the word "culture" among the public, not among the elites. This distinction is similar to the distinction between the elite of the ruling social class and the common people. In other words, the idea of "culture" that arose in Europe during the eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries reflected, in turn, a state of inequality within European societies.

What are the characteristics of Arab culture

Arab culture is characterized by many characteristics, including the following:

Culture is characterized by its generality and comprehensiveness, as it includes many cognitive and behavioral fields.

She has a high ability to adapt to different social environments, whether this adaptation is in the same community or neighboring societies.

It is widely spread through humans who have communication tools such as language.

Preserving the prevailing values, customs and traditions in society.

It has a great role to play in the process of expression and communication, because it combines language, ideas, emotions and feelings.

What most distinguishes culture is that it is inherited and not acquired.

It is characterized by the presence of two aspects: the ideal that a person desires to reach, and the other, realistic aspect that the individual practices in his life.

The importance of Arab culture

Culture has a clear influence and role in society, due to the great benefits and importance it provides, and its importance is represented in the following: Achieving belonging: Culture gives people a feeling and sense of belonging to the homeland and society, especially if all individuals speak the same language. Understanding and knowledge of customs and traditions: where culture helps individuals in society to understand and know all the different social customs and traditions prevalent in society. It also plays a clear and significant role in people understanding each other, as well as getting to know all the ways in which they communicate with each other. Feeling safe: Culture helps individuals feel safe and stable, which supports them with a sense of safety, security and stability. Formation of society: The role of culture appears clearly in the development and building of societies, as it helps determine the way and manner in which individuals deal with each other. Determining values: where culture determines the customs, norms, principles, and values that are acceptable as well as unacceptable.

Reasons for the decline of Arab culture

The link between ideology and culture, as this link leads to the submission of culture to the authority and sovereignty of ideology, and this makes it deviate from its moral role and works to restrict human thought and creativity.

Western culture also affects Arab culture, as it has high capabilities to spread the principles of its culture and impose its customs and traditions for economic and political purposes.

The wide spread of cultural illiteracy, especially among those who hold university and educational degrees, and this results in a lack of interest in building developed and open cultures, in addition to interest in academic achievement only.

Arab culture consists of elements dating back to the tribal era and the era of agriculture, which made these elements, including customs, customs and traditions, invalid for this time, as well as not in line with industrial and cognitive development.
