Chris Hemsworth spent 200 minutes underwater holding his breath

Chris Hemsworth

Chris Hemsworth may play a superhero on screen, but the "Thor" actor has proven to be somewhat of a superhero in real life, too. The 39-year-old has had his fair share of distractions along the way, as his young children try to keep him away by swimming around him until he loses focus.

The Hollywood star somehow maintained his position underwater and steady, showing off his dangerously chiseled physique as he squatted at the bottom of the pool. When sharing the video clip on Instagram, Chris shed light on his children's deceitful antics, commenting on his post, "Don't let distractions get in the way." Your goals.. no matter how hard you try to swim in front of you.

Chris is looking forward to more

He added that he had completed "200 minutes so far", suggesting he had aspirations of holding his breath for a longer period underwater. Chris received much praise from his 56.1 million followers, and even Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson himself was amazed.

One fan Chris joked, "Thor is now Aquaman," while another suggested a possible new movie title: "Thor - The Way of Water," similar to the avatar movie. He was called an "inspiration" while many were left in stitches by his son's "wonderful" behaviour.

It doesn't look like Chris will be putting his skills into practice with underwater stunts anytime soon, though he recently announced that he's taking a step back from his career.
